Chapter Six

Making a beeline for Luc’s family’s cabin in the mountains of North Carolina, I was still wondering what those weird noises we’d heard in the Swamp could’ve been. Jessie and Jackie swore it wasn’t them. J.B., Luc and a heartbroken Brock (He really wanted to be the first person to meet an Alien.) searched everywhere and found nothing, but my brain – and my Bernie – wouldn’t let it go.

Well, that wasn’t exactly the truth. Ever since getting to our little hideaway in the hills, I hadn’t thought much about anything but my big, sexy Boar.

Life was just too damned good... Let me tell ya’ how good.

Sliding the most gorgeous Opal ring ever created on my finger, (My birthday’s in October. Opals are my thing. My man is the best.) my Mate whooped like LSU had just kicked UF’s ass in triple overtime with a seventy-five-foot Hail Mary pass when I nodded and happily gushed, “Oh, my Goddess, yes.” (I’m a Southern girl, Baby. I know my college ball.) Kissing me till I saw stars and was just about to melt, I was sure I’d made it to Heaven and Luc was my big, sexy Angel.

So, when his hand skimmed across my ribs, I shivered and shook and stretched just enough for him to get all the good spots. Damn, damn, damn, it felt so good I started dreaming up ways to never let him leave my side...ever.

With his hands finding their way to my face, he tenderly held me right where he wanted. (Not that I was ever gonna move again.) Laying the sweetest of butterfly kisses on the apples of my cheeks, then the tip of my nose, he whispered between pecks, “I love you, Livvie. I love ya’, somethin’ awful, and damn, if I’d have it any other way.”

Continuing his gentle seduction (Not that I needed seducing, but I could tell it meant a lot to him and who was I to argue?), each kiss was little more than a touch of his lips to my skin, but oh so very special. He was promising to take care of me, to let me take care of him, and that no matter what – Aliens, brothers, or crazy-ass friends – he’d always be there for me. For that little bit of time, it was our world, and everybody else was just livin’ in it.

Laying kisses on either side of my mouth, Luc caught my sigh of satisfaction then lightly nipped at my bottom lip. Boy, oh boy, did my man already know how to work my body like a fiddle. Goosebumps rose in places I didn't realize goosebumps could rise, then he sucked my earlobe between his teeth and bit down lightly.

Good Goddess in booty shorts and a tube top, I almost came from the sheer pleasure of it all. Arching my back and pushing my hard lace-covered nipples into his sexy-as-hell bare chest, I ground my hips against his, praying with all my feathers for the teensiest bit of relief from the wildfire my Boar was stoking within me.
